
Flynn Squirrell is a Suffolk based artist currently in his this year studying BA (Hons) Fine Art at the University of Suffolk.
He is passionate about sculptural textiles, exploring different materials like plaster, wire, and fibre with his most recent works exploring how our human senses relate to texture through presence.
Flynn was introduced to crochet in 2015 finding a world of possibility with a simple hook and yarn after being diagnosed with a health condition at 13 years old finding himself temporarily bedridden.
Flynn's passion for crochet awarded him the opportunity to feature on Channel 4's Kirstie's Handmade Christmas in 2018 and two exhibition places at the University of Suffolk.
Creativity feeds everything Flynn does, leading a well attended life drawing event and a community based craft club in his home town.
